Are you eligible?

Seeking healthy volunteers between the ages of 18 to 55

Must not be taking anti-inflammatory medications

Must not be pregnant or breast-feeding

Able to fast (not eat or drink except for water) for 12 hours

Able to lie down still for about 90 minutes

Compensation

The following compensation will be provided:

  • Visit 1: (Eligibility Check) $100
  • Visit 2: (NeuCaVis™ PET/CT scan) $400
  • Visit 3: (FDG PET/CT scan) $400
NeuCaVis™ Phase 1 Study I Diagnostic Medicine in Ottawa

Study Requirements (2-3 Visits)

The study involves 2–3 visits, each a half day long, at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute.

  • Read and sign an informed consent form.
  • Complete a physical exam (vital signs, blood and urine tests, and an ECG).
  • Medical history and current medications review.

  • Three NeuCaVis™ PET/CT scans (90 min or less), with breaks in between.
  • NeuCaVis™ will be given by intravenous injection.
  • Blood samples will be collected.
  • You will receive a follow-up phone call 1–3 days after the visit.
  • Compensation: $400 for completing this visit.

  • Standard of care FDG PET/CT scan scheduled 1–2 weeks after Visit 2.
  • Compensation: An additional $400 for completing this optional visit.
